iClone 7 to Live Link . . .
Success! Finally got everything to sync up beautifully. The Unreal output is the best! I did import a few FBX meshes, but not all of them worked. I also purchased $13 worth of other stuff on sale at Unreal. This is just a test. . . . ds 2402

Wrapping up Part 3 . . .
First of all, “The Bell Dimension Deux” comic is on hold as I finish up with the final part of the movie Preview. Now that it has been completed in a rough form, I’m going through and rendering in iClone’s High Render settings at 4096. Iray rendering is out of the question since it would […]

The Bell Dimension Deux Comic Book is out!
The picture in the previous post was my first attempt at turning my iClone movie into a comic book. Although I was happy with the color print, I was extremely disappointed with the grayscale version as there were too many dark images that made the publication useless. However, I had used different looking characters, this […]

The Bell Dimension Deux Preview is here!
It’s about 5 mins with credits. These characters are inducted into a “training program” that will condition them to become something completely different. Of course, it is a flawed approach, to say the least. To see the latest Preview, go to Vimeo through the TBD menu, or go to YouTube and search for “The Bell […]

Fixed “Mining the Story” Store link . . .
The pain of trying to sell online with no money is quite a pain, but doable! I had just finished creating my store only to see Squareup/Weebly do an upgrade which moved my web site to another location. On top of that, my electronic download products of a Cartoon Animator 4 character got zapped and […]

iClone Head Shot . . .
So I broke down and bought the Head Shot plugin for iClone 7 as it is on sale for half price. Of course, I should have realized there will be “additional” costs for the capability to customize the skin’s appearance, but I did not think they would throw in the basic skin setup so you […]

PREVIEW is ready!
I finally produced a decent PREVIEW that will be submitted to the animation festivals once a few quirks are worked out. Theses are mostly motion issues with the characters as they are either “canned” or BVH motion files with some manual edits included. Some not so pretty. :o) iClone is a quirky program to say […]

Storyboard Animatic is here . . .
One scene has been posted on the Storyboard page. One of the videos done in “minimal” mode at 1 frame-per-second. The other is the standard PREVIEW render in iClone 7.

Storyboard updated . . .
I updated the Storyboard page with a simplified scene of just the train that went from 3 separate mp4 to one: 3011 . . . ds

A CTA 4 2Mb video w lip sync . . . What?
Here’s a much smaller sample from iClone 7 to CTA 4 video. iClone Project size is 153Mb while CTA 4 Project size is 2.85Mb. CTA 4 MP4 was run through ShotCut generating a tiny 2Mb MP4 with lip sync. That’s astounding! The voice over track was not edited prior to being used in this demonstration. […]

A Scary Night in Walla Walla . . .
I uploaded for the Reallusion CTA 4 “Animation At Work Contest”. I had problems customizing the Reaper’s mouth in Krita. Once I added a voice over mp3 the bottom jaw would disappear for no reason. So I replace the original without any problems which is in this video. I also tried using Face3D, but the […]

Incredibly easy Lip Sync in CTA 4!
I was just messing about with CTA 4 to create a morph-based character from an image. The pins on the first attempt did not control the movement as much as I want it to and, in fact, made it look stupid, frankly. Three Bones were created for the image: chest, neck and head, but they […]
